There have always been some words that puzzle Tooty.
For instance, today she was asking my sister for the 'nap' in the car.
Thinking it was very strange that Tooty wanted a nap,
she asked if she really wanted a nap.
No - the nap!
As soon as I got back in, Tooty asked me for the 'nap' and I handed
her the atlas. I have worked with her
several times on pronouncing it right, but it's still nap.
But my favorite mispronunciation was last night.
I made her pancakes and she has always called them 'cancakes'.
So last night while we were talking about them, I said,
"Puh-puh-pancakes."
To which she replied,
"Puh-puh-CANcakes!"

One of my favorite things about being a mom is listening to kids speak! Puts a smile on my face every time!
LOL
That's so cute.
Yuki will do this often.
It makes me laugh.
Missy! I just found your blog! How did it take me so long . . . I guess I haven't been too great at surfing to find it before. Anyway - this is great! Reminds me of Abby trying to say horsey. It always comes out "Forsey." So I even tried to correct her, practicing h - h - horsey. So now she says, "H - H - Forsey!" I love it!!!
